Developer Revenue Sharing

How attraction developers earn on the DreamPark Platform

Updated October 2026. DreamPark now earns through subscriptions, and developers are paid from a monthly pool of that subscription revenue, split by how much your attractions are played. These terms replace the earlier per-session entry-fee model. Existing arrangements governed by a signed agreement remain governed solely by that agreement.

How It Works

You build an Attraction. Players and venues subscribe to DreamPark and play it. Every month, half of what DreamPark earns from subscriptions goes into a Developer Pool, and the pool is shared out by play time. If players spend more time in your attractions, you get more of the pool. It works the way music streaming does: there's no per-ticket or per-entry charge, just one subscription and one pool, split by what people actually play.

Where the Money Comes From

Players subscribe to DreamPark at home, and venues subscribe per headset. Every subscription includes all content with unlimited play, so nobody pays per game, per session or per entry. Subscription revenue is the source of every developer payout.

Your 50%

Half of DreamPark's net subscription revenue goes to developers. Each calendar month, 50% of that month's net subscription revenue becomes the Developer Pool. DreamPark keeps the other half to run the platform.

1
Players and venues subscribe
At home or at a venue, one subscription covers every DreamPark game, with unlimited play.
2
50% of the month's subscription revenue becomes the Developer Pool
Calculated on net revenue: after app-store commissions, payment processing, refunds and sales tax.
3
The pool is split by play time
Your share is your attractions' active play time divided by the active play time across every attraction on DreamPark that month. Time in lobbies or between attractions doesn't count for or against anyone.
4
You're paid monthly, in US dollars
Each month's earnings are calculated after the month closes and paid out in USD once your balance reaches $100.

Play Time Share, By Example

Say DreamPark's net subscription revenue for a month is $100,000. The Developer Pool is $50,000, and players logged 200,000 hours of active play time across all attractions:

Your attractions' play time Your share You earn
40,000 hours 20% $10,000
10,000 hours 5% $2,500
1,000 hours 0.5% $250

Illustrative numbers only, not a forecast.

The takeaway: the more players play your attraction, the more you earn, whether that's more players, more venues, or players staying longer.

What Counts

No debt, no risk. You're never asked to cover costs and there's no clawback of earnings already paid. If your attraction is played, you earn a share of the pool.

Getting Paid

Earnings are calculated per calendar month once the month closes, with a statement showing your attractions' play time, your share of total play time, and the resulting payout. Payouts are made in US dollars within 45 days of the end of each month, once your balance is at least $100 and a completed W-9 (or W-8BEN for international developers) is on file. Amounts below $100 carry over to the next month.

What You Need to Do

Revenue share is automatic once your attraction is live, but staying live means keeping it healthy:

If an attraction becomes broken or abandoned, it can be pulled until it's fixed, and it stops earning while it's out.
